I love hearing your sewing stories! Have you sewed anything fun lately? Thrifted any gems? Let us know in the comments so we can envy you.
Side note: Yesterday, I packed so many copies of the May Garbie Zine, “How to Make a Cute Fucking Shirt.” I am so humbled by the response and if you’d like your own copy, click the button below.
I made a patchwork orange and yellow shirt two days ago. I made it from leftover dyed fabric from a project. I loved how it turned out except I sewed the sleeve upside down! I haven't had the courage to fix it yet. Hahaha
finishing a long-forgotten dress that just needed a zipper and still needs a hem. I've also thrifted an awesome linen dress the other day, and got some clothes from my friend as well to alter.
I was doing some cleaning and came across a mens dress shirt I thrifted a while ago. It’s nice and thin and I think it will work out for the bodice part of a summer dress. I’ll have to find something to use for the skirt part.
Im working on a cusom hoodie that is a patchwork of a plain white hoodie, an old pepsi work shirt, some green leggings, a shoe, a denim vest, and a bunch of can tabs that i linked together to form a star shape! Very little is actually sewn yet, but im making progress on trimming and pinning! ⋆͛🦖⋆͛

I just finished a Bike Handle bar bag. Was tricky and picked not the ideal lining fabric 🫠. Also took in some jeans to fit just right 😻

I hosted a ball for my birthday and I made a flower ball gown out of entirely thrifted material
