This sounds awesome! I would love to see creative ways to use clothing that you love but will likely never fit into again because you gained or lost a lot of weight. Like ways to make a T shirt bigger or take it in without it looking weird. I would also love to see cool ways to improve thrift store jeans that are cute but not that cute, but they were $1.99 and fit mostly ok and you needed new pants 😆
(also I volunteer as tribute if you need people 😁 I'm a diy fashionista in the Portland area)
This is a great idea that I am looking forward to watching! One sewing thing I’d like to learn how to do, is there a way to shorten the shoulders on shirts? I am a woman who tends to shop in men’s sections, and many shirts I have tend to be too large in the shoulders. Are there ways to adjust/hem that on shirts?
seconding this! i just took in a button down shirt (basically re-did all the seams except the collar) and it worked out but it was so stressful and i almost gave up like three times
How to take a shirt that you love and have worn a long time but now you need to basically implant some gussets or extra fabric in the upper arms and into the upper back so that you can continue to wear it, because your shoulders, upper back, and arms have increased in
I think this is brilliant. Share with the world a wide variety of folks turning to the sewing machine (and crafting in general) to clothe themselves, express themselves, and create a sustainable practice.
This is great! I've been learning a lot from your pillow videos, but any other patchwork guidance you can throw in would be very helpful. A specific question: Can you use random other fabric for interfacing on stretchy knits?
I love this concept! It will teach people how to upgrade what they have, therefore reducing waste! I would also like to volunteer as tribute. I do know how to sew but I have some clothes that need upgrading and fabric I never use this could be the motivational push I need to start making my closet what I want it to be!

I love this idea! Maybe a technique for adapting stretchy clothing (leggings, swimwear, etc. if you don’t have a serger)

Size due to aging and weightlifting
Tanner is my son and I’m so proud of him and his strong work ethic. He is smart, hard working and funny.
I know nothing about sewing, but he sure does.
Yes please. This would be so interesting.
Yes please! I would watch!
I love this! I don’t watch much YouTube, but I’d surely subscribe to this.

Great idea. I look forward to it and good luck to you - hard worker!
Love The idea. Will you be working with these people in person?
